This font allows the user to print secure names and amounts onto checks. It is very difficult to alter a check's recipient or the amount of the check when this typeface is used to print those elements. To include the end caps, surround the text you want to print with brackets: [ or ] Note: it looks like there are gaps when shown on-screen, but they do not appear when printed.
